La Palmera Cares was developed to assist in humanitarian efforts in the local community and beyond through fundraising and awareness. The program reflects the mission of parent company Trademark Property to be extraordinary stewards, enhance communities and enrich lives.
Tornado Relief Donation Drive, May 2011
The American Red Cross is currently taking donations to assist victims of the Tornado disaster as part of our La Palmera Cares program. Donate online at redcross.org. Text "REDCROSS" to 90999 on your mobile phone to donate $10 to relief efforts. The money will be billed to your wireless account or call 1-800-REDCROSS (1-800-733-2767) to give money or schedule a blood donation.
Japan Relief Texting Campaign, April 2011
Partnering with the American Red Cross, La Palmera promoted their "Text to Donate" initiatives and raised over $3,000 at our March LIVE! On The Lawn event.
Heart for Haiti Donation Drive, April 2010
Partnering with the American Red Cross, we were able to host a blood drive, sell promotional items and more to raise awareness and funds for the relief efforts.
Change for Charity
Funded by proceeds collected from the Center Court fountain, Change for Charity provides assistance to Coastal Bend Area non-profit organizations. Each month, La Palmera will give the change collected from the fountain to a selected local non-profit group.
Charities interested in participating must meet certain eligibility requirements. The non-profit group must:
- Complete an application to clarify the type of non-profit work, level of need, and efficiency of operation
- Be either local or a national organization with a local chapter to benefit residents of the Coastal Bend
- Must not solely exist for the completion of a special project
- Must furnish proof of tax-exempt status
