ULTA SET FOR SEPTEMBER 24 GRAND OPENING

Francesca’s Collections, Marble Slab and Ruby Thai Kitchen joining La Palmera lineup

 

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Sept. 22, 2010)– La Palmera is riding its successful summer season into fall with more new stores and restaurants now on the way.

            Ulta, the largest beauty retailer to offer one-stop salon products and services, will have its grand opening on Friday, September 24, at 9 a.m. with Ulta gift certificates for the first 100 customers plus giveaways throughout the day. The 9,800-square-foot store is located at the outdoor main entrance adjacent to P.F. Chang’s.

             “La Palmera is coming off a great summer and we are happy to be carrying that positive momentum into the fall and holiday shopping season,” said La Palmera General Manager Fred Walters. “The $50 million renovation was completed earlier this summer and we’re already seeing the draw of the transformed shopping environment for both our shoppers and potential tenants. Popular stores like Ulta will also be a great addition.”

            Three other new retail and dining options are also on their way. Francesca’s Collections, a 1,506-square-foot boutique specializing in the most fashion-forward styles in women’s clothing, accessories and gifts, is scheduled to open early October in Center Court. Scheduled for a late November opening, Ruby Thai Kitchen (919 sf) offers a variety of dishes such as Apple Curry Chicken, Tamarind Fish and Chili Pepper Beef, prepared fresh daily. Ruby Thai Kitchen will be located in the La Palmera Cafes food court adjacent to Stir Fry 88 and Subway. Marble Slab (788 sf), famous for its fresh-made gourmet ice cream, will be located at the new outdoor main entrance adjacent to Grimaldi’s Pizzeria and is set to open later this year.

            Previously announced tenants preparing to open at La Palmera include the popular hamburger chain, Wendy’s (858 sf), which opens its La Palmera Cafes food court location in late October. With its 1,000-square-foot retail location already open at the outdoor main entrance, the Aveda Institute Corpus Christi will welcome its first cosmetology and esthiology to its new 15,533-square-foot educational facility in early November on the mall’s upper level.

            A new 3,592-square-foot Toys“R”Us Express opened September 3, part of Toys“R”Us national expansion into malls and shopping centers for the 2010 holiday shopping season.
