HELP FOR HAITI CONTINUES AT LA PALMERA

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (January 22, 2010) – As relief efforts continue on the ground in Haiti, so do the efforts of the American Red Cross here at home. The Coastal Bend-Texas Chapter of the American Red Cross will be taking monetary donations at La Palmera over the next four weekends.

The table will be set up in the La Palmera Cafes food court by the aquarium and manned Friday through Sunday from noon-6 p.m., through February 14. A recent four-day American Red Cross fundraising drive held at La Palmera Jan. 15-18 raised nearly $6,000 in donations for the relief efforts in Haiti.

“La Palmera is proud to continue our support of the American Red Cross and their humanitarian efforts for Haiti,” said La Palmera General Manager Fred Walters. “Their recent fundraising drive here was very successful and we will continue to help in any way possible.”
