Opportunities exist for prime spaces in soon-to-be renovated mall

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (August 26, 2008) – With a few spaces available for new retail and dining opportunities, La Palmera, formerly Padre Staples Mall, today announced it will host a franchise fair on Friday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

“It’s our goal to transform La Palmera into a complete shopping and dining experience,” said Trademark Property Founding Partner Terry Montesi. “To accomplish that, we want to bring additional top-tier restaurants and retailers into the mix; this franchise fair is the opportunity for us to pair interested national chains with eligible investors. We see it as a ‘win-win’ for the local economy if we can help facilitate any deals.”

The event, which will be held in the La Palmera Preview Center located near Nine West and Lady Foot Locker, is open to both local entrepreneurs and franchisees from other markets as well as national franchisors.  In addition to franchise information, tours of the new food court, future restaurant sites and retail space will be available.

Although retail space is limited, there will be several opportunities in the newly designed aquatic-themed food court. Featuring a large aquarium and upgraded seating, the area is scheduled for completion in summer 2009. There are also plans for additional specialty food throughout the mall. Once all renovations are completed in fall 2009, La Palmera will be home to more than a dozen dining and specialty food locations.
