MUSEUM TO PRESENT TRAVELING
EXHIBIT, FROM EARTH TO THE SOLAR SYSTEM
The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History along with La Palmera are pleased to announce the premier of From Earth to the Solar System, a national exhibit from the Harvard – Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. The exhibit will be on display from May 10 through May 29, 2011 at La Palmera, which is located at 5488 S. Padre Island Dr.
The stunning display features 30 large format, high resolution astronomical images. Although our solar system is small in comparison with other structures of the universe, there are vast variations in our planets. From Earth to the Solar System includes pictures of icy Europa, the craters of Mercury, the volcanoes on Io and cold, dark Neptune.
“La Palmera is very pleased to be hosting this visually breathtaking exhibit,” said La Palmera General Manager Fred Walters. “Many of these photographs are simply stunning and I know our shoppers will enjoy seeing them. We’re very happy to be working with the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History to be a part of the Space Science Week events here in the Coastal Bend.”
