Special event planned for March 4 arrival

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (February 26, 2013) – The Easter Bunny is heading to Corpus Christi, arriving at La Palmera on Tuesday, March 4, with a special breakfast celebration 10 a.m.-noon.

The event will be part of the monthly Tide Turners Kids Club held on the upper level near the children’s play area, with the Easter Bunny arriving at 10:30 a.m. for breakfast with the children, provided by Chick-fil-A. The Easter Bunny will move to his Center Court location following the event.

Activities include a magic show, story time with Mother Goose, face painting, balloon artists, cookie decorating, provided by Great American Cookies, and arts and crafts provided by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Center of Corpus Christi. Center staff members will be on hand to introduce sign language to attendees and will provide signing during story time. There will be drawings for five goodie-filled Easter baskets and the first 100 Tide Turner members will also receive a free goodie bag.

The Easter Bunny will be in his Center Court location every day through Saturday, April 19, to meet and greet children and pose for photos during regular mall hours: Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Pet owners can bring their favorite canine or kitty to “Pet Night with the Easter Bunny” on Wednesday, April 2, April 9, and April 16 from 5-7 p.m. with a portion of the photo proceeds to benefit For the Love of Strays (4/9), and PAWS Up (4/16). Only dogs and cats are permitted and all animals must remain on a leash or in a carrier at all times.
