FORT WORTH, Texas (July 23, 2013) – Trademark Property Company, the Fort Worth-based real estate development, investments, and services firm, today announced Jared The Galleria of Jewelry will open at The Shops at La Palmera, a 200,000-square-foot outdoor shopping center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Work has already begun on the 6,000-square-foot space, which will be located in a newly constructed pad space along Staples Street. This is the first Corpus Christi location for Jared, which is scheduled to open this fall.
Jared offers five times the selection of ordinary jewelry stores, prices it well, and presents it with the help of a team of experts. Jared is a division of Sterling Jewelers Inc., headquartered in Akron, Ohio. Jared’s and its parent company, Signet Jewelers, are the largest specialty retail jeweler in the world.
“The Shops at La Palmera is an exciting development that will continue to draw leading national retailers, such as Jared to Corpus Christi,” said Trademark Chairman and CEO Terry Montesi. “The property will be providing shoppers with many firsts, including the first Jared, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Corner Bakery Café, T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods locations in the Coastal Bend with many more to come.”
Demolition began this week on the former Mount Vernon portion of the property along Staples Street, while renovation and construction work continues on other areas of the property. The Shops at la Palmera’s first new tenant, Corner Bakery Café’, opened July 1, with Dick’s Sporting Goods, T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods slated to open this fall.
Subway has announced it will remain at The Shops at La Palmera, having closed its current location in the former Mount Vernon section with plans to reopen in a newly remodeled building adjacent to Dick’s Sporting Goods. Four other current tenants, Victoria Jewels, SAS Shoes, Big Lots, and Catherine’s have signed leases to remain at the center in their current locations, which will also be remodeled. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Sunshine Dental will also remain.
