List includes Dickey’s Barbecue Pit and Dress Barn; Destination XL grand opening tomorrow

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (April 28, 2014) – The Shops at La Palmera continues to take shape with construction now underway on five new retail and restaurant locations.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, (2,500 sf), Gossip Nails (2,263 sf), Great Clips (1,241 sf) and Subway (1,500 sf) will be located in a new building near Dick’s Sporting Goods, with Dress Barn (7,254 sf) located near Corner Bakery. All are slated to open this year.

Other additions at The Shops at La Palmera include Destination XL, the largest specialty retailer of big and tall men’s apparel, opening Tuesday, April 29.

The new 7,000-square-foot DXL superstore offers one of the most extensive assortments of men’s big and tall clothing, shoes and accessories available anywhere, including everything from value-priced private labels to high-end designer names. This is the first Coastal Bend location for Destination XL.

Changes also continue at La Palmera with the opening of Hang 10, specializing in a variety of frozen yogurts and toppings, as well as coffee drinks. Located between Claire’s and Things Remembered on the mall’s upper level, this is the first Corpus Christi location for Hang 10.

Express also opened in its new location at La Palmera on Friday, April 25. The popular women’s clothing retailer moved into a new 6,325-square-foot space located between New York & Company and Aldo.
