La Palmera Shopping District Attracts More New Stores

OshKosh B’Gosh announced for La Palmera; MAC Cosmetics now open

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (January 13, 2015) – The La Palmera Shopping District continues to bring new businesses to Corpus Christi with the opening of MAC Cosmetics and the announcement of OshKosh B’Gosh, both at La Palmera.

The 1,000-square-foot MAC Cosmetics opened January 8 on the mall’s lower level next to Soma Intimates, with its extensive line of professional make-up artist quality cosmetics and accessories.

Also announced for La Palmera is OshKosh B’Gosh, offering everything from casual playwear to special occasion dresses for kids. The new 3,127-square-foot store will be located next to Carter’s in the outdoor main entrance area of the mall. Construction is expected to begin this spring.

Three other retailers will soon open at The Shops at La Palmera as well. Marble Slab Creamery, which relocated from La Palmera, will open its new 1,631-square-foot location next to Subway by the end of January. Next to Marble Slab will be Today’s Vision, slated to open its new 2,069-square-foot location mid-February, while construction also continues on the 1,500-square-foot Beef Jerky Outlet located adjacent to Today’s Vision.

“The La Palmera Shopping District continues to draw new business and contribute to the Coastal Bend economy,” said Fred Walters, general manager of La Palmera and The Shops at La Palmera. “We are pleased with the caliber of retailers we continue to bring to Corpus Christi as we continue to refine our retail and dining mix.”
