Construction underway on new pad site; Chick-fil-A and Salons by JC also opening in 2016
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Jan. 13, 2016) – The Shops at La Palmera has begun construction on a new 6,500-square-foot pad site located near Chipotle Mexican Grill on the corner of Staples Street and McArdle Road, making way for two new tenants. The pad site is scheduled for completion this spring.
Once the pad is completed, Grub Burger will then begin work on their 4,000-square-foot restaurant, which is slated to open this summer. This will be the first Coastal Bend location for Grub Burger Bar, featuring its eclectic gourmet burgers on homemade buns, fresh salads and side dishes, cutting edge shakes, as well as delicious bar appetizers and cocktails. Grub Burger has locations in Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Florida.
Construction is also underway on the new Chick-fil-A at The Shops at La Palmera. Scheduled to open in the second quarter of this year, the popular restaurant is located on a standalone pad site facing Staples Street along the main entrance to The Shops at La Palmera.
Meanwhile, work continues on the 7,842-square-foot Salons by JC located in the building adjacent to DSW Shoes. With locations across the country, Salons by JC leases luxurious and fully customizable individual salon suites to independent beauty and wellness practitioners, providing each the opportunity to have their own business without the expense or duties of operating a full salon or wellness center. The individual businesses work within a common space with the Salons by JC staff handling management duties and providing Concierge service for clients. Salons by JC is expected to open in the next few months.
