LA PALMERA EXPANDING ITS UNIVERSE TO INCLUDE URBAN PLANET AND MISS A

First Corpus Christi location for both retailers to open this year along with Miniso

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (August 14, 2026) — La Palmera today announced fashion retailer Urban Planet and Dallas-based beauty retailer Miss A will be coming to La Palmera.

The two-story 23,986-square-foot Urban Planet will be located in the mall’s West Court area, adjacent to JD Sports on the Main Level and LensCrafters on the Upper Level. This will be the fourth Texas location for the Canadian brand, which plans to open by year’s end.

Urban Planet caters to young men and women looking for that next best thing, with a focus on the latest fashion, footwear, and accessory trends, and is committed to friendly pricing, so shoppers can always afford to look their best.

The 4,526-square-foot Miss A, the popular beauty retailer known for its collection of $1 cosmetics and more, will be located on the Main Level, adjacent to Crocs, with plans to open this year. Sure to be a hit with Coastal Bend shoppers, Miss A was named an Allure Best of Beauty Award winner in 2018 and 2022.

Known for only carrying cosmetics with cruelty-free, 100% FDA-approved ingredients, Miss A offers thousands of products at dollar-store prices by dealing directly with manufacturers and using minimal packaging. In addition to beauty and hair products, the store carries jewelry and accessories, such as sunglasses and wallets, as well as personal items including underwear and socks.

Miniso, the Asian household goods retailer previously announced in 2025, is now working on its new 3,422-square-foot location on the Main Level just off Center Court, adjacent to Bath and Body Works, with plans to open by the holidays.

Founded over a decade ago, Miniso now has more than 7,000 locations in 112 markets around the globe. Specializing in a wide variety of essential household and consumer products, including kitchenware, cosmetics, toys and stationery, the store also carries branded character and themed goods featuring Harry Potter, Disney, Barbie, Minions, Pokémon and more.

“La Palmera continues to attract a variety of top retailers to Corpus Christi,” said La Palmera General Manager Amanda Sanchez. “Urban Planet, Miss A and Miniso will provide great new options for shoppers as we continue working on bringing even more new additions to our retail and dining lineup.”

Victoria’s Secret will soon unveil its newly remodeled store as well, located just off Center Court. Since April, Victoria’s Secret has been operating out of a temporary location on the Upper Level, which will soon be part of the new two-story Urban Planet.
